When Super Street Fighter 4 was originally announced, there was a lot of excitement amongst fighting game fans. However, when Capcom made a statement that no arcade version was planned for Super Street Fighter 4, a small number of U.S. fans were concerned while the whole Japanese fighting game community were crushed. For the Japanese, arcades are a very important part to gaming, unlike in the U.S., and a major franchise like this not coming to the arcade was a bad sign. That all changed during the Japanese Street Fighter 4 National Championship when Super Street Fighter 4.

Super Street Fighter 4 producer, Yoshinori Ono, announced that an arcade version of Super Street Fighter 4 was going to be released which brought a roar from the crowd in approval.

    In some cases. But Japanese arcades are popping up around the U.S. In Austin, TX, Arcade UFO is a Japanese arcade and they will have this game ASAP.

    I think Australia had like, one SFIV arcade machine. And it had a crack in the screen.
