As is the way with most hard-hitting consumer favourites that appear on the Xbox brand, the PC-based Gears of War expectation can now become tangible anticipation because it's official: Marcus and Co., will be saving planet Sera all over again on Games for Windows.

It’s one of the industry’s most poorly concealed secrets, and now a leaked video has confirmed what every half-clued-up gamer suspected all along: Epic Games is developing a PC port of Xbox 360 mega-hit Gears of War.

Main reason I'll be getting it. I loved the 360 version and they have made just the right move to get me hooked on the PC version.

Great news for people who want to play Gears of War but don't have a XBOX 360. Now if only Gears of War would come out on the PS3.

I doubt that that would ever happen. I wonder if they will have it so that if you have a 360 you can vs people who are playing it on the computer

It's probably never going to happen, as like innerdemon said, the Xbox 360 version of Gears of War has not been designed to do this, and therefore an update to make this possible would be hard to do and take lots of time and effort. Just wouldn't be worth it.

If i did'nt have a 360 i'd be wooping for joy, but seriously speaking this is an awesome game that deserves to be made multiplatform

that would be kind of cool if u could play people with the 2 different systems, but that would be kind of hard trying to do that since the 360 version wasn't made to do it. i also think the buttons might be kind of hard to control as well.

Wow...they really are making this PC version intriguing. Since I spend quite a bit of time behind the computer, I should pick this up. The controls for this won't collide with R6's I hope.

You can simply use the 360 controller to play PC games, so controls aren't a problem.

Hmm, I might get this once I figure out how to use my 360 controller...

I don't think taking cover will work as well on the PC as it did on the 360.

The PC version looks pretty badass. I might have to pick this one up.
