The Xbox 360's answer to Heavy Rain is finally upon us next month, and the release date of Alan Wake has surprisingly been put forward a week. This doesn't happen very often in the gaming world and therefore the game must be complete and ready to ship. Happy days!

What a nice surprise! A game that has been in development for goodness knows how many years will now launch on Friday 14th May, a week before it’s original proposed date.
“Fans in Europe have been crying out to get their hands on Alan Wake since it was first announced and we’re thrilled to be able to deliver it to them early,” said Stephen McGill, Director of Xbox & Entertainment.
