It seems some Metal Gear fans still haven't realized Hideo Kojima has a bizarre sense of humor.

A few weeks ago, Kojima Productions released this silly little music video, featuring Peace Walker's Paz singing her theme song "Deterrence of Love" on a beach.
Unfortunarely, there were a fair few fans who didn't understand the humor behind the video, and demanded Kojima explain why it was released, claiming it was "not Metal Gear."

Kojima responded to the outrage on his Twitter.

Okay... perhaps "controversy" isn't the right word. But some fans do appear to be alarmed at what they saw in this Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker video.

Apparently, Kojima has received opinions of the form "The image is wrong. This is not Metal Gear." Kojima responded to this by saying that the real game will be completely different and will surprise players with its seriousness. The PV was made by the younger Kojima Productions demo staff as a playful exercise with thoughts of Paz, he explained.

I didn't take this too seriously either. It's just a fun video. It's not like it's going to be part of the game itself. That's not the Kojima we know.

A bit sad that people were telling Kojima, the maker of the series, that this is "not Metal Gear."

Kojima's response should have been "*bleep* you" and a picture of Snake dancing with Miller... nude. XD

It's because fans of most series are stupid enough to think that they designate what the essence of that series is. And for all their bitching, I'd bet they'd all still *bleep*ing buy it, because it's got Kojima's name on it and it has a Snake.

Be careful, MGS fans, lest you desire to end up like the sad sacks of shit that make up the FF fanbase.
