Hey remember how when Gears of War 2 launched the match-making and online play was pretty much borked? Yeah, Epic feels bad about that and they are taking steps to make sure that doesn't happen in Gears 3.

When Gears of War 2 was released, playing the multiplayer portion of the game was, at best, a chore because of match-making issues that would cause the game to spend long periods of time finding online games. In a surprising bit of candor, Cliff Bleszinski acknowledges the problems with Gears of War 2 multiplayer and promises that there are a number of steps they are taking to improve the online experience for Gears of War 3.

    Don't have time to look at the article, but if its the interview I remember they didn't feel bad about how multiplayer was, only that it was broken out of the box.

    He said nothing about the 'host system' and the lag (which is still there).

    The only thing I hate about the multiplayer is the matchmaking and how the teams are hardly ever fair.
