In a recent interview with the UK's SFX magazine, actress Gemma Arterton was asked whether she had heard of the Prince of Persia game series before landing a role in the PoP movie and what she did to prepare herself for the role.

Prince Of Persia star Gemma Arterton said she'd never heard of the video game before landing the role in the film.

Asked if she knew the game, she said to UK's SFX magazine: 'I didn't. I'm really rubbish like that! Someone told me 'Prince Of Persia' and I was like 'Prince Of What?'

'So I went into it like an open book. The character in the film is not like the character in the game, from what I can gather. She's not a warrior - she's more of a priestess, and comic and funny.'
