When you work on a franchise that has changed the FPS world for ever, it's hard to say that this one is the last one. Like a musician who doesn't want to leave the stage: Halo: Reach might not be the last Halo.

Joystiq reported through a very interesting interview that even if Halo: Reach is the last game of the series, “it may consider” doing another one “down the line“. Bungie doesn’t want to say they totally give up on Halo.

There's no way it'll be the last Halo. It's quite the interesting universe, and it's obviously a very fun series of games. Sales prove that much. Microsoft and Bungies would be fools to 100% stop with Halo completely.

Admittedly though I think Bungie needs a break from their flagship series. I imagine after the amount of Halo games created, they'd want to take a step back and try something new.

Bungie will be making Halo games for the rest of their lives reckon. Oh sure they might break away for a bit, but with all the money and success they'll keep coming back, nothing they make will ever reach the same prestige as Halo.
