Official Announcement : Square Enix E3 Line-up - No Final Fantasy XIII/Versus

Square-Enix' final line-up for E3 2007 ! But guess what ... ??
No Final Fantasy XIII ! Or any other Final Fantasy game that's in the Nova Crystallis compilation either ...
The rumour has finally been proven true today, when Square announced there Line-up for E3 2007, with the absence of Final Fantasy XIII etc.
Theres still some nice games of course, but you can't help but feel that the main attraction has been taken away from us - yet again ...

Who's ready to form an angry mob? Today, Square-Enix America released their E3 2007 line up including many of their leading titles. However Final Fantasy XIII, Versus or any other mention of the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation are left out. Hopes of a new FFXIII trailer seem to be out the window.

This news was brought up a few days ago by a 1up.com podcast but without, what looked like any proof. It seems they were right. However, Final Fantasy XIII was never listed on their lineup before 2006's E3 either. Although, that was most likely because they were announcing it there. There is the possibility that FFXIII could appear in Sony's key note presentation like last E3 but unless it does, it looks like we're in for another long wait to see some new footage.

    Bit of a bummer that they didn't showcase anything on the new FF games. Maybe they want to keep the development under wraps, or they're just not very far along. Square and Blizzard are notorious for not releasing games "until they're finished"

    wow that is a big let down... i was really hoping to see something on FF XIII.. but oh well, they are not the first to disappoint..

    I'm sure that when they have new information for us and are ready to present it to us, they will, via some form of media (be it online, in magazines -- whatever). Square usually takes a long time on their quality games, but I'm sure they'll pull through for us.

    I'm kind of excited to see a new expansion for FFXI though. Granted I don't play, but I've always wanted to try it, and I've actually followed the game a bit as far as that goes.

    And yet you torment us with screens from FFXIII?
    Bad move Square Enix...guess they are playing that little keep things confedential game like other companies at this point.

    It's strange that they wouldn't have any FFXIII news to show us. It's been so long since we've recived some REAL news about these games.

    Looking at their lineup, I'm very disappointed with what they are going to show us. I mean "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates"? "Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess"? or "Final Fantasy Tactics: The war of the Lions"? These are hardly games that have fans drooling over any tidbit of information released.

    I'm also surprised that FFVII: Crisis Core isn't in the list.

    They should at least release new trailers for the games. Some Versus XIII gameplay would be awesome.
