At the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo, Batman voice-actor Kevin Conroy revealed that the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel will be "really, really dark."

Conroy, who spoke during a panel during the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo this past weekend, said the new game will have a similar tone to the animated movie Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker.
"It's really, really dark," Conroy said of the game in relation to the film. "It involves a lot of the villains and it goes to that area - it's that dark."

I detect a slight emphasis on "dark" in this article.

it'll be really dark, and then you'll end up spending 60% of the game in blinding bright detective mode.

Given the number of complaints there were about that, I'm hoping detective mode will be even more powerful but only usable in two or three second bursts with a cooldown or something similar, it pissed all over the atmosphere at times.
