Researchers announced that fast pace, violent video games, specifically Call of Duty and Resident Evil, improve quick thinking and mental flexibility and should be played by youth and elderly.

Yeah but it shaves off minutes of my life from the frustration. Not worth it.

Essentially all games make you smarter. This isn't news.

Based on what I've heard from the people with microphones playing Call of Duty, I'm going to have to call bullshit on this study.

I played Call of Duty for maybe two weeks, that's about it. Ironically I'm about the smartest kid in my grade group at my high school.

    COD makes you smarter...chyeah...

Yet you don't understand that smarter is subjective.

I believe a percent average has its merits.

Based on ample experience. Games like MW2 tend to promote more racism, bigotry, and endless lame jokes (usually involving someone's mother or someone's penis).

Correlation does not equal causation. The demographics toward which these games are marketed are more likely to have better reflexes. Therefore the article title is misleading.

Makes your reflexes better, and your mind smarter in that way.

Doesn't stop players from being massively ignorant *bleep*tards

Probably written by some guy who's obsessed with the game, so "it makes you smarter" is a typical thing he would say. I personally have played with friends and online people, and there is little intelligence involved.
