In a press release today EA announced that The Sims 3, the latest in the Sims series of games, would be heading to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS this fall. While no date was given some information about some of the new features the game would have for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.

The Wii version will offer an exclusive beach town with unique resident, traits, careers and lifetime wishes. The new “Life Moments” game will allow players to compete with one another to earn rewards as well as be able to complete several adventure quests that will require the player to explore their town and discover its secrets.

On the Nintendo DS, players can use the stylus to build their Sims’ homes with tools, draw walls and floors, and customize virtually everything from décor objects, textures, and more. Players will use the stylus to sculpt their Sims’ facial features, choose hair styles and clothing, and personalities using the robust Create a Sim system. In “Story Mode,” players will control multiple Sims within a family and enjoy life’s special moments. Players can enjoy a complete life simulation as they guide their Sims through challenges to unlock additional items, new buildings, landmarks and more.

    Having the PC Version, this might be the first time I don't pick up a console Sims.

    However, I might try out the DS Version.
