Halo: Reach beta is now live and ready for download

The Halo: Reach beta is officially live. You can enjoy the beta just as long as you have the Halo 3: ODST disc. The beta runs through till May 19th 2010. So, if you want to enjoy the most anticipated beta, you better hurry up and download it.

    I tried downloading the beta then leaving the console, but if you spend too much time w/out touching the controller it automatically turns off, so now I tied my guitar hero microphone cord around the left stick waiting for the
    #$%^ing thing to finish downloading.

      It doesn't automatically turn off. The Guide overlay may disappear when the system enters screen saver, but any action on the controller will bring it right back. The download will continue even if you leave your Xbox 360 idle.

        One of my friends tried downloading it and whenever he would leave the download conosle, it would stop downloading. You have to be active on the 360.
