iD Software's 'Rage' due out in 2011, identical on PC, PS3, Xbox 360

Been wondering about news on iD Software's Rage? Wonder no more as the first news in a while has hit and they are announcing a release for sometime in 2011 plus some other tidbits.

Rage was announced by John Carmack and iD Software back at QuakeCon in 2007 where it was given a "when it's fun and when it's done" release date. They've since progressed developing the game far enough to give gamers a narrower release date of 2011 for the PC, PS3, and XBox 360.

      iD Software never releases games when others do. I remember Doom 3 being delayed several times only to come out in August when no one was really buying games. I think we are lucky to know that it's out in 2011 as until now it's been unconfirmed. Though on the plus side those that have played it have said that the detail is on another level, many have said they have probably spent too much time on the detail which is why it's taken 5 years to make.
