The official site for the Nintendo's upcoming Monolithsoft-developed Wii RPG, Xenoblade updated with a new Field subsection in the site's System subsection.
Xenoblade features a vast world atop of the game's only two god landmasses, and Shulk and co. can travel seamlessly in this world, with the only loading happening between body parts. There's also a sense of vertical scale, with the party having the ability to jump while exploring. Of course, that means you can fall too, but there's damage for that if you drop from too high up.
Additionally, you can warp to different locations via the map, change the in-game time at will, and save anywhere. With a controllable in-game time, Xenoblade features a full day-night cycle, with NPCs doing different things depending on the time of day.
Xenoblade releases on June 10th in Japan.
Following weeks of story and world details, Nintendo has at long last opened up on the gameplay side of Xenoblade. The game's official site was updated today with the first of at least four "system" sections.
The first section is titled "Fields." This matches nicely with the recently shared trailer, which is also now viewable in the trailer section of the site.
