It's been a while since Nintendo has mentioned "Kirby" and "Wii" in the same sentence, but it seems that could change in the coming months. The little pink guy's already had plenty of adventures on the DS, but for whatever reason Nintendo has neglected to introduce him to the Wii.

According to a recently published list of planned game releases, the Kirby Wii project (temporarily being called Hoshi no Kirby in Japan) hasn't been dropped. It would seem the company is still intent on bringing the familiar pink face over to the console, it's just unclear when.

Nintendo is well known for relying heavily on their mascot characters, but some get a little more action than others. Case in point: Kirby, who -- besides an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl -- hasn't been seen outside of a few Nintendo DS games over the last several years. But according to Nintendo's latest listing of planned releases, they do indeed still intend to release a new Kirby platformer for the Wii...they just still don't know when.

Heh I make a comment about the big title to be revealed in Nintendo Power issue and this shows up. Is someone watching me? Probably not. But now how much of the game is done if any at all?

This isn't news; Kirby Wii has been on that release list for years now.

Kirby wii was technically Kirby gamecube, yes it's been that long. It's more than likely never coming off that list. Kirby wii is Nintendo's very own Duke Nukem.
