Electronic Arts continues its efforts to 'entice' gamers to buy games new and not used. And if they don't, well you won't get access to online features for future EA Sports games without paying a $10 fee.

Electronic Arts' 'Project Ten Dollar' has already been introduced to games such as Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Mass Effect 2. The concept is to restrict access to online features of games only to those that buy games new and to charge those that purchase games used $10 if they want to play online. Project Ten Dollar has now been added to all future EA Sports titles.

Then buy games new.. Most retailers barely give you a saving when buying used anyway. I mean I go to GameStop and a new game is £49.99 I can buy it used for £45.99, EA are only trying to stop stores like GameStop from profiting on what isn't theirs to profit on.
