Its nice to see that there stepping it up these days
It was a slight disappointment when Guitar Hero II came out with the exact same remote as previous (( except in red )), but this time it looks like Red Octane are pulling out all the stops, with the new added competition of Rock Band.
- I personally love the Wii controller !

The competition between Guitar Hero 3 -- now dubbed Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock -- and Harmonix's Rock Band continues to heat up, with Activision and Red Octane announcing their new controllers, based on new Gibson Les Paul and Kramer designs, to go on sale alongside the latest installment. There's just some minor tweaks -- as with the last game, purchasing a whole new guitar isn't a requirement to rock with Guitar Hero 3 -- but it's interesting to see the Wii version have a convenient spot to plug in the Wiimote.

I really like the design, especially the Wii controller ^^
I didn't think it was fair when the 360 got the new controller, so its nice to see that this time we are all going to get a nice new design
(( ... except for the black one, that's just the same old design, but with a new colour scheme ^^ ))

Hopefully they can give it a nice vivid color like they do with real Les Pauls. You can only do so much with a controller that's not a real guitar, though.

I'm digging the Wii shceme. And with the interchangable face plates, we can make these guitars our own. Awesome things.

I'll stick with plain ol' white. Those faceplates will probably cost at least $20.

With this game I can officially throw out my real guitar. Now to just wait for "Virtual Breathing" and I'll never have to move a muscle again!

I'm a little dissappointed with the wii version. I was expecting it to be on the neck or the back or somewhere symmetrical, but it looks like they just kind of slapped a hole in the easiest position. The PS2 one looks hot. I'm diggin the black.

At first I also thought that I'd prefer the wii remote in the neck of the guitar but then I got to thinking that doing that would weigh the guitar sort of unevenly. This way they're putting most of the weight in the base which is a lot closer to realism than if the neck weighed the same.
