The Halo: Reach beta wasn't quite strong enough to knock Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from the top spot on Xbox Live but it still had a strong debut for a beta at the number 3 spot.

The power of the Halo franchise comes to bear down on Xbox Live after the release of the Halo: Reach beta last week. Not only did gamers swamp Bungie's servers at launch but the beta was the third most played Xbox 360 title on Xbox Live last week according to Microsoft's stats (via MajorNelson.com).
