EA has announced that Dead Space 2 and Dragon Age 2 will both be released in Q4. There seems to be a bit of confusion over whether this means 2011 or 2012, but it seems to indicate 2011.

Other titles out in that period are sequels in the Need for Speed, The Sims and Spore series, as well as a fighting game. A sequel to Crysis and a new Harry Potter game are on the cards for Q3, presumably to tie-in with the first film of Deathly Hallows. Star Wars fans might be disappointed; The Old Republic isn't among the releases for Q4.

EA's yearly loss was big ($677m) but not as big as last year ($1.09bn). Key contributors were Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Madden NFL 10, FIFA 10, The Sims 3 and Need for Speed: Shift, each of which shifted over 4m units.

I suspect DS2 will be this year. DA2 most likely next year.
