Michael Pachter had a rather long (but good) interview with Eurogamer about a number of subject including himself. However, one of the more interesting things was his comment about his previous prediction of the Wii HD coming soon.

Wedbush Analyst Michael Pachter has continually predicted that a Wii with HD graphics is coming and is coming this year. However, in news that is sure to have Sony gloating over the upcoming PS Move, Pachter now believes that the Wii HD is going to come from Sony and not Nintendo according to an interview with Eurogamer.

Patcher seems to forget that every Nintendo console is held up by Nintendo game franchises, and Nintendo game franchises alone. When PS3 gets Zelda, then it can be a Wii HD.

That said, how many PS3 fans really want their system to be a Wii HD anyway? Silly, silly Mike.

You never know, it could be an IMPROVEMENT on an existing product. Plus it could rope in all the casuals, giving the PS3 a bit more of a chance with sales, though if Natal turns out to be really good... bye bye Sony's chances at first or second place.

I think this guy speaks the truth.

If you want motion controls in HD resolution, get a PS3. If you want motion controls on a slightly crappier resolution, cheaper and more (crappy) games, get a Wii.
