Resident Evil 5 Producer Not Returning For RE6

For a while it has been rumored that a new producer will take charge of Resident Evil 6.

Now, it has been confirmed.

Capcom's Jun Takeuchi has revealed that he will not be returning to create the next title in the RE series.

Capcom's (in)famous Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2 producer, Jun Takeuchi doesn't plan to return to the survival horror series any time soon, he's said.

    Yeah I was thinking "but no bosses appear in more than one RE." Well none of the creature bosses anyway.Or they never return unless it's like a spinoff game.

    I'm not surprised. Wonder who the new person will be, let's hope he has the desire to really break the mold in RE6, and let's hope it's someone who actually gets the concept of Survival/Horror.

    Or it could be a class A moron who thinks that turn based gameplay would actually be a good idea...goes both ways.

    That being said, I just wish somebody would just *bleep*ing mercy kill RE already. You've got Dead Rising FFS, plots/characters are still as retarded as ever but it shames RE in every other way possible.

    He sucked anyway. Not much of a loss. Get the team that did the REmake to do RE6...or better yet, get them to do REmake2.

      Wait, wasn't Jun in charge of REmake? Or Mikami? They've been switching RE games on and off I became confused after RE4.

      Either way they both lost their touch. Capcom mainstreamed the Survival/Horror genre, let's hope they can bring it back from near extinction. Or just make Outbreak 3. Either way I'm happy....but.....OUTBREAK 3 AND I WILL NEVER DOUBT YOU AGAIN CAPCOM.
