Right at the end of Microsoft's E3 2007 conference, exec Peter Moore revealed a special edition Xbox 360 to be branded with Halo 3. The system is army green, with a matching controller.

The special edition console will be available worldwide in September alongside the launch of Halo 3. Superfans can look forward to other Halo 3-themed accessories. No price was revealed.

Moore added that Halo will be a billion-dollar franchise by the end of the year.

Good move my Microsoft I think, I know people that want Xbox 360's purely for Halo 3, they will obviously be drawn into buying the full works. I think it looks ugly anyway, I love my nice white console.

Same here. It won't be something I am picking up, but for those die-hard collector's who already own a 360, I bet they can't wait to get their hands on this. Plus you have the headset and controllers, and any more accessories they try to market before then...
