To combat used game sales, Capcom have come up with a strategy to prevent gamers from giving away or selling their copies of Lost Planet 2.
If you don't keep your game for over 6 months, you can't get all the trophies.

Fortunately, some sneaky gamers have come up with a solution to this "problem."

Trophy whores won't be able to sell their game back... or will they?

Electronic Arts is making used game buyers purchase access tickets to go online with their games. Capcom has a simpler solution to curb used game revenue loss -- keep games from being sold back to shops in the first place... at least for a few months.

Would actually make a difference if the game was actually good, ignoring that it's insanely easy to by-pass.

I assume anyone buying this would want to keep it for at least six months for the online mode anyway, then when they get bored after that time they can sell it anyway.

This is quite possibly the stupid thing I've heard in a good while.

Since when did used games suddenly become the devil?

Also, there is no way you're still gonna be playing Lost Planet 2 6 months from now, chances are you won't even get it and you'll get Red Dead or Alan Wake instead

You overestimate the intelligence of people who would actually buy it
