Remember when the infamous Duke Nukem Forever finally seemed to be facing the end as 3D Realms let nearly all of its development team go? Shortly after, Take-Two Interactive hit the dying studio with a lawsuit for having never completed the game. In return, as all decent people do, 3D Realms counter-sued: the game wasn't cancelled, and they were still working on it.
Well, the 11th of June marks the end of the legal drama. And how did it end? With no real resolution. Both parties have agreed to pay their own legal costs, and neither can sue each other on the same grounds again. So much waiting, for no change whatsoever.
However, with legal troubles out the way, there's still a possibility that one day, probably years from now, we still might live to see Duke Nukem Forever released. Probably not though.
"The above action, including any and all claims that were or could have been asserted by the parties, is dismissed with prejudice in accordance with the terms of the Settlement Agreement executed by the parties on May 14, 2010"
