First pictures of the Xbox 360 Slim are now available along with additional details like where the hard drive is stores, number of ports, and what "Kinect ready" really means.

The hard drive is hidden into the side of the console behind a door and can be easily removed and replaced and the WiiFi supports 802.11n. The case features a gloss black finish and includes a "Kinect ready" port that allows the motion control camera to be connected without the need for an additional power supply. Older Xbox 360s will require Kinect to be hooked up to one the Xbox 360 USB ports and to a power supply.

I hope Gamestop has a promotion where you can trade in your old 360 and get like $70 off the 360 Slim, or something like that.

They did that with every DS, but I can't recall if they did it for PS3 slim or not.

If they had a solid deal, I think I'd do it. I've had some space issues with my 20GB for a long time now. Thanks to some management it's been enough, but I've been fighting upgrading for awhile, and since it's like 100 already for a new HDD I wouldn't mind too much going another hundred or so+ trade in to get a slim.

Edit: Talked to a dude a Gamestop and he said they definitely would be having a special, and specifically to call back around Thursday since that's when he expected to have either word, or the units themselves.

Looks kind of cool. I'd buy it if my Xbox broke down.

Doesn't look that much smaller than a regular 360 to me, but I'd imagine a side-by-side comparison would clear it up.
