So who had the best press conference at this E3's 2007 event? Was it Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo. With each company telling the public of their future plans it came down to how many page views each conference got. So Kotaku had made a poll that showcases which got the most page views although for the people who viewed all three press conferences we know who the true winner is.

Nintendo beat out Sony and Microsoft, at least based on pageviews to our press conference coverage. It's worth noting that Microsoft had a bit of an edge since its presser was held last night - but the boys from Redmond still only came in at a distant third place.

Not a very well done analysis.

I mean basing it on page views?

I completely understand. Although most users who have commented on the article have said that the Sony press conference was superior, then come Nintendo and last Microsoft.

I think it is not very accurate to base it on page views as the reasons why people view a page can differ for many reasons.. they don't necessarily have to mean that they viewed it because they felt it was good.

Especially since all three conferences were crap compared to past E3s.

Does this have anything to do with the E3 becoming less that what it was before? Because before the conferences were excellent and this year they have been vastly disappointing.

Nintendo's press conference was really kind of dull and covered little that could be seen as 'hot property'. The heavy focus on WiiFit said a lot about that while we once again got to see scant little on other major titles. Not impressed with any of the press conferences... they all felt kind of 'forced'. I think in terms of software selection and oomph factor, Microsoft had the edge.

What are you talking about? They told the release date for two of the three biggest games of the year!

Bullshit. Metal Gear Solid 4 is bigger than anything Nintendo has.

    Heh, Nintendo would always win.
Nintend & Sony > Eveything else.

So what you really mean is :
      Nintendo and Sony > Microsoft
Well said ... Well said ^^

What games would those be? Metroid 3? Don't think so. Super Mario Galaxy? Don't think so. What else? Endless Ocean? Fire Emblem? WiiFit? Come on, get real.

Like it or not, the biggest games of the year will be Halo 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, and GTA 4.

But Microsoft has the best all around choice in terms of hard-hitting quality. No argument.

Add Smash Bros. to that list and you're good.

Just to note, MGS4 releases next year. And like it or not, we don't know what the biggest games of this year will be. Halo should do well with the large install base and an early release, but there are plenty of much better looking games for all systems.

Agreed, but 'better' and 'best' are not 'biggest'. The most deserving games rarely become the biggest. Okami anyone? The hype machine surrounding Halo 3 and GTA 4 will likely see them as the biggest games of the year, regardless of their quality or lack thereof.

Sony press conference owns nintendo and MS. I mean Sony had more to prove, and they did just that. With a price cut and great games and now there could be a possible price cut again b4 the Christmas holiday. I say the ps3 will start to shine soon.
The games that had some interesting factors were XBox halo3, and Nintendo SSBB. Other than that Sony wins hands down.

Wait, you went to E3? I didn't know that. From the poll results it looks like Nintendo > Sony.

Um when did i say i went?

But those polls had nothing to do with E3, more of page reviews.

Well it's still true, Nintendo OWNS everyone, in sales, and in popularity.
Nintendo beats sony 6 to 1 in Wii Vs. Ps3 in sales.

Well thats only because of the PS3's price, if PS3's and Wii's price would be the same, i bet PS3 would just own it totally, but thats my opinion anyway.

Yeah, but the difference in hardware is the reason for the higher price in the 1st place. Nintendo chose wisely not to make their console too expensive to make or sell.

It was a stupid analysis. Almost everyone agrees that Sony floored Microsoft and Nintendo in terms of announcements.

A gay way to compare. Sony had much more exciting updates.

    Synthesis Jul 13, 07
Yeah I agree with that, you just can't based it on page views.

Microsoft did terrible...just terrible. I mean, the last thing I want to see is someone spending about 30 mins just bragging on their success...did they forget that they are a year ahead of the competition?

Anyways, Sony and Nintendo did quite well, Nintendo in terms of hardware, and Sony in terms of games. Nintendo didn't give much details on many of their big titles coming out, but they did at least give them official dates, so I'm pleased with that. Sony gave good info with help from the creators of the games, etc..

yea its a shame that MS was too intent on there success so far. It shows you the immaturity of them.
