inFamous Cole Might Recieve Another Redesign

When inFamous 2 was anounced, many people didn't like the new look for Cole. He was too 'cliche' for some and lost the certain look that the original Cole had. Well the developers did listen and it seems like they might retweak him a bit before launch.

Infamous 2's presentation starts, oddly enough, with the game's director, Nate Fox, practically apologizing for its protagonist's new look, which hasn't been particularly well received by fans. "We read the blogs," he says, before reminding us that the game is, "at the midpoint on a two year journey." It's a statement that doesn't actually commit to anything, but we can infer from it that there's a good chance Cole will be getting his appearance retweaked a bit before the game hits.

    Not exactly like he was before, but maybe with the same clothes but same face with different hair and similiar voice.

    I'm more than happy to accept a new look for the character, but frankly I think they've gone way overboard with trying to create an appealing Cole.

    So yes, a little bit of redesigning to look like his old self would be nice.

    I think they should create 4-6 skins for Cole and post the 4-6 unique versions of him on the Playstation Blog, Official Playstation site and all the major gaming sites (IGN, Gamespot) and allow the fans to vote.

    They may not be able to please everyone but if there is an overwhelming favorite on each site they will at least know they are more than likely ticking the right box for most people.

    Hmm, at first I didnt really like the change, than I saw the trailer and now im kinda fine with it.

    Why not just have unlockable skins in the game and make "Classic Cole" one of them?

    I really hope they make him at least SIMILAR to the original. But one thing I'm wondering . . . why add the weapon?! Come on, one thing I loved about inFAMOUS was it's closeness to originality. What's the next thing . . . he gets to drive a vehicle now too?

      The weapon has me off too. It looks fugly and out of place on his back pack. I'm okay for small gadgets he fishes out of his backpack now and then (like portable battery pack things or flashbang/electro grenades that make BIG boom booms) but that weapon thing so far hasn't impressed me. I'd like it if he could just grab a pipe or something and charge it up and batter away then toss it when it breaks.
