That might be kind of fun to play, so it can be a little more real life.

I hate to be 'that' guy (Although knowing the MW2 community, there could well be more than one), but I think it's crap. I would enjoy it if there was no perks as well as no killstreak rewards, but then I guess Heartbeat Sensors and Thermal attachments would be whored even more.

Disabling all perks and killstreaks would be nice and all, and maybe even take it a step further and disable attachments. Would certainly make it hard to abuse those certain ones that everyone complains about.

But for now I can settle for a no killstreaks mode.

I wonder if this will come to the PS3 version. I'd be interested to play in a match where 5 different aircraft don't start bombing the map every time the other team starts winning.

It is coming to PS3 along with or shortly after the new Maps are released. Likewise with PC.

They need a mode where there's no killstreaks or perks, and the only attachments are scopes and sights. Then make everyone have a lot more health, so that you can't just shoot someone in the foot to kill them.

My main gripe with Call of Duty is that it basically boils down to a competition of who can spot their opponent first. Then once you get enough kills, you can just hide in a corner and control your killstreak. It's fun to play in short bursts, but there seems to be a distinct lack of competitiveness due to the minimal skill required. It's like a game that anyone can jump into and play, but it quickly becomes boring and repetitive for the people who like to play at a higher level.

If anything, the "hardcore" mode is less hardcore. It basically just makes people hide even more than before. My idea of hardcore play is to increase competitiveness, not passive playing.
