This kind of sucks. With all the vents that this thing has, you might think it to be an air filter. But Microsoft has managed to get this things to overheat as well. Hopefully, we wont have a RRoD spree with this model.

    I...I didn't see any overheating (well duh). But I mean I didn't see or hear any signs that it was anyway. Someone want to help me out on that? Maybe my ears just aren't attuned to an overheating Xbox 360 though.

      I guess it was creating those dotted lines on the screen.

    I suspect the xbox to have been tampered with in some way. Microsoft wouldn't be stupid to release two xbox designs with the same flaw.

    Those artifacts on the screen are not signs of overheating. Maybe a faulty AV cable or connection but not overheating. In anycase the new RRoD on that xbox shuts down with a warning message when it gets hot enough to be a risk of overheating so he shouldn't be able to be playing the game anyway.
