With game sales lagging and gamers extending their playtime with their favorite titles by playing online, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachtersees mega-publisher Activision finding a way to get money out of gamers spending tons of hours with games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

    They will lose plenty of customers then. Simple as that. Will what they charge make up for the customers they lose?

      Seeing as 70% of their profits are from WoW I'm pretty sure they can afford the loss and more than make up for it.

      Activision can pull this off right now, it wouldn't affect them that much seeing as people, as always will always buy in.

        I think they will lose a good chunk of people, but not a huge amount that can make them go under, so it probably will be worth it for them to go forward. I think the problem is activision thinks Everyone will go on board with this.
