Sony has commented on the high demand by gamers for this remastered collection. Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said that they are 'very aware of the demand' for these two games to get an HD makeover. If their is a demand, than their is a reason to make the product, thats just business.

Rumors have swirled over the past month that Sony would release a "Team Ico Collection," with HD versions of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus on one Blu-ray for the PlayStation 3. Now Sony has commented on the matter for the first time, and while that comment sadly isn't a flat-out confirmation, it does raise hope as Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said they are "very aware" of the demand and interested in the prospect themselves.

"As soon as we released God of War in an HD collection, there were people that were giving us suggestions," Yoshida said to Joystiq back at E3 earlier this month. "And ICO and Shadow of the Colossus is on the top of the list. And we are very aware and we want to see and play it in HD with a better framerate as well, so that's something we are very, very aware of."

There are only two games in the ICO "collection." At the price they're at right now, you're better off just buying both games individually. How hard is that?

yeah, but they wont run in HD and wont have trophy support.

I know, I know stupid reason as those games really dont need and they are better off without. But for people like me who have beaten the games countless times I wouldnt mind going again to unlock a few trophies. Plus it will definitely build up hype for The last guardian, which needs all the support it can get as it wont be a huge seller like GTA or CoD.

I would gladly pay 60 dollars for this collection.

Shadow of the colossus had awful frame rate issues, i'll literally buy a PS3 if i can play it in 60 fps and Crisp visuals.

But it certainly didn't hinder the experience. However, correcting that problem would only make the game that much better.

Red 9, what the hell don't you understand about 720p?

$100 is a little much for high-def versions of two games that are around five to seven years old, eh?

The news of the remake is coming at TGS along with more footage of Last Guardian, if they have had enough time to get something started that is. No source just a feeling.

well I do remember rumors a while ago that Team Ico was actually working on TWO games, I always thought it was two new IP's but this whole time it could have been just the versions.

Well I dont know when you heard that. But I recall the maker of ICO/SoTC saying he was having a meeting with some Sony BigWig and was going to discuss the possibility of the HD remake. This was about a month ago, maybe 2.

I do remember reading about that, but it was longer than two months. It was around after the GOW3 collection was announced, I think at TGS so its been longer than two months. And if they did decide on it, they would have been working on it ever since, which is good.

They may just be waiting until work on The Last Guardian is finished, so they don't divide their resources etc. Of course having the collection come out before hand could raise hype.

I'd buy a PS3 just for that. Really, I would.

If you could bundle HD Ico, HD Shadow of the Colossus and Last Guardian into a boxset, I'd litterally buy a PS3 just for it.
