The Many Costumes of Mario

From the classic Super Mario on the Nes till the latest Mario on the Gamecube (Sunshine). Surprisingly Mario has only had 8 costumes. A new costume will also be introduced in the next Mario game which is Mario: Galaxy. So will Bumble Bee Mario be the best costume yet? So what is your favourite costume and why is it your favourite costume? Tell everyone below.

Cape Mario is considered a "costume change", yet Wing Mario, Vanish Mario, and Hatless Mario are not? WTF! XD
...and what about "Baby Mario" in his diaper?

Hatless Mario = win!

  Well the source says these are some of Mario's costumes. I don't think the original article author ever claims only those 8 exist. He's just highlighting those 8 costumes.

    Oh, oops. I assumed that the article meant it was all of Mario's costumes.
    
    Even though Baby Mario isn't neccessarily canon, I'd consider his outfit a different costume, especially if costumes like "Cape Mario" and "Eco Mario" are considered as complete costume changes.

Only 8? Wow it does feel like a lot more. I quite like this Bumble Bee Mario he looks amusing and funny. And a Frog Mario? Has anyone got a picture, I didn't know there was such thing? lol

When I use to play on Mario games I always found the Frog costume to be the funniest as you (If I remember rightly) are limited to do absolutely nothing other then jump and move. God I must have laughed first time I ever sore that.

  Movement itself was pretty limited to hopping on land. It wasn't really designed for land though, since it's speciality allowed for faster, more controled movement in water. Well, if Frog Mario grabbed an item he could actually run. ^^

Wow this brings back memories. Mario's squirrel-like outfit in Super Mario 3 was funny, but I always liked when he had his cape, floating around like that. His fire flower outfit...one of the very original ones, is always fun to use, too.

Metal Mario for the win. There sure was a nice set of costumes in the past for Mario, but Metal or Fire Mario has to be my favourite. The Bumble Bee Mario sounds quite interesting, hopefully used quite a bit in Galaxy.

I love all of the costumes, especially the Bumble Bee one. It's different and adorable. My favorite is Frog Mario though. It's super cute. ^__^

^{Frog Mario is the best by far in my opinion, but its a shame that they didn't include more of his costumes. I know for a fact that he was more than 8 ^^}
