Well, a bit obvious since why would people by the original version if the newer one is better.

Yeah it seems pretty useless to keep the original around still. Maybe some parts for it or something if the versions are different. It's like the DS Lite and regular DS in a way. Good thing I waited to get a PSP.

This looks like the saying "out with the old, in with the new". I don't see this version competing with DS anyway. the reason why it not competing is the lack of games, not features. Sony needs to get that in their heads.

Ah well, I already got my PSP. If the more efficient battery life on the newer version is the only different thing, I don't see why I have to throw this one away and shell out another hundred bucks for the new one....yet.

I dont really see the point, in a few years there will be a PSP2 most probably, as long as they know what there doing, and they wont be recording a loss, if they want to compete with the DS, make it around a DS price

They should've included a second analog stick.

Unsurprising. It was pretty much a given that the new PSP design will replace the old.

So long as their charging the same price for it, I'm happy. I haven't yet got a PSP, and I don't plan on getting one either, but its still nice to know that this one will be better ^^
(( I use my brothers PSP to play my games , as he never uses it - in case you were wondering XD ... // ))

Good thing the new one is slimmer making the old one almost obsolete. Unless of course you like a heavy hand held.

Meh I don't see the point of buying this one if I have the original. Just becuase Sony wants to change the weight ans size to compare to the DS

And I didn't believe Nintendo about Sony being copiers until now.
