Firefight mode for Halo: Reach to include Versus option

Halo: Reach details from Comic-Con just keep getting better and better as the latest is an upgrade on the best part of Halo 3: ODST, Firefight. The new mode gives a new spin on the Gears Horde-like mode.

Another new detail about Halo: Reach revealed at Comic-Con today was a new twist on the Firefight mode that originally made its debut in Halo 3: ODST. While Firefight was popular, it was lacking in some areas such as matchmaking. Bungie heard the complaints and upgraded the mode with many new options and the latest was announced today as a Versus mode.

    Isn't this kind of pointless? I mean the versus mode sounds just like any ordinary team deathmatch, the only difference is that the Covenant team has AI support.

    I just don't quite get it?
