Earlier it was suggested that Cole from inFamous 2 will be redisgned again, and today at Comic-Con it was confirmed that he will be changed back. Check out the brand new video as well that shows a comic cut scene from the game, and also features a much deeper, grumpier Cole voice.

A panel for Infamous just let out at San Diego Comic-Con, but the real news came before the show even started. Sucker Punch is changing Cole's look in Infamous 2 so that the protagonist looks more like he did in the original game.

Good. Never let it be said that change is bad but changing a character to be exactly like the entirety of every other wise-cracking, happy-go-lucky, mass murdering action hero isn't change. At least grumpy Cole is believable, and lovably flawed, and not a complete up-his-own-ass douchebag... just a slight one.

Unless you're playing the evil one and then he pretty much is a up-his-own-ass douchebag...but a loveable one at that.

See this is why I love the videogame industry. It must be the only one where fan power plays such a huge role.

Kudos to the guys at Sucker Punch for having the balls to admit the re-design was a mistake.

I love it when an industry takes it's supporter's seriously.

    ARE YOU HEARING THIS FIFA!?!

this is pathetic, all these little babies whining about the smallest things. His new look was better than his old look. At least Sucker Punch listens to fans, even though it was the dumb ones...

Are you serious? The new look made him look like some bratty pretty boy. Honestly, they should just stick with his inFamous 1 look. That was bad-ass. Fans are fans, I wouldn't call myself dumb for voicing my opinion of the new Cole with hair. Sucker Punch did the right thing, imo.

SG: In this case I'm pretty sure your shared opinion was the minority one, otherwise Sucker Punch wouldn't have re-redesigned him.

ShadowGuard enjoys medioctrity over breaking the norm; alert the presses.

Changing his ENTIRE character, looks, demeanour, voice and personality, isn't the SMALLEST thing you dumbass.

What are you talking about, his personality has not changed at all you moron. Plus, there is a time gap between the games. I know you have not reached that point, but men change as they grow older. Way to go dipshit...

They turned him from gritty, self-destructive, reluctant hero into a douchebag mix of Nathan Drake and Deadpool. Yeah, there was a time gap... so why the hell did his new version look twenty years younger? How the *bleep* can you be so stupid as to not think of that as changing his personality? Or could it be you're talking out of your ass about a subject you know nothing about, AGAIN? Stop making weak ass excuses just because you're fine with everything being the same; men change as they grow older but you're clearly still a little boy, so run along home and maybe one day you'll actually hit puberty, wake up and realize you are a complete idiot, then you can learn to actually know about the bullshit you talk. Kthx.

I don't know why they wouldn't stick to their guns, did anyone care THAT much?

I mean, now people are just gonna bitch and moan that the newly newly re-designed Cole isn't as bad-ass as he was in the first game, they can't win.

I did. The fact he looked nothing like Cole 1 made it hard to picture the game as a direct sequel. The voice was ridiculous (It WAS) and the face got a rehaul. I don't mind a new look as long as its the SAME character.

They completely changed who he was. Of course fans of the game, fans of the character, cared about that.

If Snake suddenly turned into a whiny little bitch, people would complain. If Nathan Drake started sucking dick, people would complain. They turned Cole into a wise-cracking, pretty boy cliche, betraying EVERYTHING that happened in the first game. It's not a small thing, so of course people are going to *bleep*ing care.

I didn't exactly love the new look, but I got used to it. If there's really so much divergance about the character then compromise, change the old Cole, but not as much as they did with the new Cole. I mean I think the only reason anyone was annoyed was because they went too far.

I have a feeling the change wont be to drastic to the original. He's still going to look different, but not the same. His voice sounds different in the video though, much more tough.

The voice is the one thing I reckon that MUST go. I wasn't raving about Cole 1 but Cole 2 just sounds like a Tony Hawk Underground reject (Probably was too...)

Sucker Punch is very smart to listen to the fans. Because guess what? If they don't like your game, their not going to buy it. It's very simple.
