According to a recently published article by The Wall Street Journal, the budget for Blizzard's highly anticipated game wasn't actually $100m as originally claimed. Instead the figure given was for the online interactive RPG game, World of Warcraft. This would have meant the highly anticipated sequel to Starcraft wouldn't have had a higher budget than Rockstar's very own Red Dead Redemption.

Blizzard have also announced there will be no reviews written for Starcraft II until it's release later this month.

he Wall Street Journal has clarified comments it made recently that pegged Starcraft 2 with a $100m budget price-tag.

The publication incorrectly reported that Blizzard's highly anticipated RTS cost as much as Rockstar's own cash giant, Red Dead Redemption to develop.

The figure provided was actually for a small but popular online game called World of Warcraft, WSJ has said. Have you heard of it?

They're Blizzard, and their association with Activision probably plays some role in these mega figures.
