DC Entertainment has announced that a Green Lantern game is currently in the works. Don't get your hopes up though. It's based off the upcoming Green Lantern movie, starring Ryan Reynolds.
It was also revealed that there are currently other DC characters who will get their own games in the vein of "Arkham Asylum."
DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson has made it official. A Green Lantern game based on the upcoming Martin Campbell film starring Ryan Reynolds is under development. Makes sense, as a movie tie-in is pretty standard fair these days when it comes to comic book movies. The game is set for 2011 and will be released alongside the film. Geoff Johns and Jim Lee will be consultants on the game, which comes as no surprise given their involvement in DC Univserse Online and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Speaking of Arkham Asylum, Nelson also confirms that DC has many plans under development to expand their other characters into the gaming realm in the same vein as that of Batman's 2009 hit. So while this Green Lantern game will be a movie tie-in, she confirms that these other games will take the "Arkham" route under their visions.
