No sooner had Guerilla Games unveiled its impressive E3 trailer for Killzone 2 than the usual 'Halo killer' chatter started spreading about the Net as the fanboys drooled enthusiastically. And why not, Killzone 2 certainly looks the part... though it does 'feel' decidedly Gears of War. Anyway, the first morsels of info related to gameplay are beginning to surface. Check 'em out.

After exhibiting its stunning trailer at last week's E3 Business & Media Summit in Santa Monica, California, Guerilla Games has spilled the beans on the first gameplay details for its PS3-exclusive first-person shooter Killzone 2.

N'Gai Croal was privileged enough to get to grips with the sci-fi shooter with his own two hands, and duly confirms (pay attention fanboys) in his Newsweek blog that everything us punters saw during E3 was real-time footage and not CGI wizardry.

I loved Killzone 1 yet it is not a Halo killer. It is a good game that at least to me has a unique feeling. With Killzone 2 however the same applies. I know I'll get the game and love it but as far as popularity I doubt it will be a halo killer.

Killzone 1 was okay. Killzone 2 looks to be a much bigger improvement over the first.
