A story has come out about a mother who had discovered her 11 year-old son had received pornography from an adult gamer the child had met online. The mother reacted by contacting the law.

A mother from the great state of Texas was outraged after she learned that her little 11-year-old son was sent some raunchy pornography on Xbox LIVE by another gamer the child had met while playing online. "When they are playing against their friends, it's a controlled environment," explained mom Rosie Garcia. "But when they join a party, it can be someone in Japan, Australia, anywhere in the world."

Jeez lady, chill out. The kid was probably happy and didn't even realize it .

Unless it was Goatse or something.

Well the article describes it as 'raunchy', so we'll assume it's not Goatse.

Alas, that is indeed an overreaction. I'd be interested to know what the police said. And besides, the mother should have been aware of the risks of online gaming/internet use in general.

I'm more impressed that this person figured out how to send pictures over xbox live more than I am impressed about the porn.
