The Kartel reports that Capcom's net income is down for the quarter, but what exactly is to blame for this loss of income? Surely games like Street Fighter can't be losing the company money.

Capcom reported that their net income for their first fiscal quarter, the April – June period, dropped by 90.4% compared to the same period in 2009. What’s to blame?

I quite liked Lost Planet and I love Monster Hunter.

And yeah, would have preferred Monster Hunter on the PS3. I feel that a younger audience is playing MH now because of the Wii release, which isn't bad, but bothers me a little bit.

        I'm 15 so I shouldn't really be saying this

I dunno, it works pretty well for COD and pretty much every other shooter on the market. So why is it suddenly a problem when Capcom does it?

Hell they even add new characters, revamp the system and lower the cost when they do it.

When you take into account Lost Planet 2 (Which was never going to do well) and Monster Hunter Tri (Who's idea was it to put that on the Wii?) as the article suggests, I'm really not surprised.

They need more commitment to the PSP where it was actually doing extremely well!

Except in Europe and America, where Monster Hunter's sales only covered about 1% of the series total sales at best.

I wonder if it has to do with the almost complete lack of infrastructure online support for an online multiplayer-dependent game?

That being said, they could actually stop releasing alternate versions of the same *bleep*ing game as if they were new.

That doesn't surprise me 1 bit as they release nothing but total crap like Street Fighter or mediocre games like Resident Evil 5.

Then proceed to produce the most rubbish DLC's out.

I am surprised they are still in business.
