Man, shooters for this holiday keeps getting thinner and thinner while the first half of next year is just looking ridiculous. As long as the games come out better than if they had been released early though.

The shooter category just got a lot lighter for the upcoming holidays as EA has announced that Crysis 2 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 has been delayed to the first quarter of 2011.

Isn't this always the case these days. Most developers try to avoid Call of Duty and end up releasing in an even busier time. I mean there is not much these guys can do considering for the most part, most shooter fans love Call of Duty and most Call of Duty fans buy Call of Duty and play nothing else for 6 months. This will leave games like Crysis 2 out in the dark.

It's clearly to give computers time to catch up. Few people enjoyed the original Crysis without disgusting lag.

It's supposed to have lower requirements actually. Otherwise they would have a hell of a time trying to get it to work on consoles. Most new video cards should do fine. My $65 HD 4670 was able to play the original on 'High' at around 25 fps.
