China has recently made laws against sexy ads that could corrupt their youth. But the whole idea behind that was to keep sex out of the gaming world, and away from kids, good job on that one this past ChinaJoy. Turns out, all China did was flash sex left and right.

A ban that outlaws titillating Internet-based ads for online games went into effect in China on August 1, but that didn't stop the Chinese Government from backing sexy promotions at a recently completed game expo. The China Digital Entertainment Expo, known as ChinaJoy, is backed by quite a few Chinese government agencies, including the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP), the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industrial and Information Technology and the National Copyright Bureau.

I agree with China about sex messing with the youth.
I think it should be removed from games. The Legend of Zelda was awesome without sex and it sold well without sex. Sex is un-needed to sell games and should be removed world wide from gaming.

I disagree. With some games, I would admit that they can do without that kind of stuff. But with others I would disagree entirely. Sex isn't a bad thing. It isn't always in there for the sake of being in there. Despite what you may think, there are games that use it well for story, atmosphere, etc.

Lets say Mass Effect for instance, and ME2. Did it absolutely need it? No. Did it help add to the characters in how it was employed? Yes, at least I believe so. Dragon Age is another example.

I'm not saying that youths should be seeing and playing that stuff at a young age, but isn't that the entire point why there are rating systems?

Like I've always said, sex should only be included if it can be used tastefully and meaningfully (ie it helpful to the story and isn't just a porn-rage).

If it doesn't meet those criteria, then don't bother including it.
