With the huge number of Nintendo Wii consoles being sold worldwide, it has been feared that by the holidays, there will be not enough Wii console to appease consumer demand. In a bid to remedy this potential situation, Nintendo has started outsourcing the development of the components to more manufacturers so that when the holiday season comes they will be prepared provide consumers with new stock Wii consoles.

Last week a number of Nintendo officials claimed that the US, and perhaps even Japan, could be hit by a Wii drought later this year. The company promised to do everything it could so as not to disappoint consumers or kick itself in the teeth financially, and a report on manufacturing trade site emsnow suggests it is making good on its word.

It's just what an analyst warned them about. The level of supply and demand for this piece of innovative technology is quite high, and there simply may not be enough to go around this holiday season (best thing to do is buy one now). Loving the green and red Wii-motes.
