Blockbuster By Mail now renting games nationally

Blockbuster may be teetering on the precipice of bankruptcy but they are moving full bore ahead with plans to compete with the companies that helped bring the rental giant down.

We previously reported that Blockbuster was running a trial of renting games by mail along with its current movie by mail program. The trial appears to be over now as they have launched "Blockbuster by Mail" which allows subscribers to rent up to three movies or games out by mail.

    I thought this was already a national thing. Anyway, I don't really rent games from Blockbusters anyway. They're usually secondhand and don't work.

      Not the by mail program. They were running two test markets but are now mailing games out a la GameFly starting today.
