While speaking to GTTV, Greg Goodrich, Medal of Honor's Executive Producer, says "The key differentiator between his game and Modern Warfare is greater realism and plausibility."

Could this mean he is trying to make his game more plausible and realistic than the Call of Duty titles?

We think he mean 'realistic' in that last part there, but you get the idea. Check out the interview in the video below, which also contains a new trailer for the single-player campaign.

Key difference between the games? The new Medal of Honor is a shitty game in general.

Please elaborate 'shitty game in general'. Seeing how the only thing is out is a beta with only 2 online maps I could hardly see how you would know how shitty the game is in general. Especially compared to MW2 which is nothing more than flash and glitter for all the 13 year olds to drool over.

How about the beta having incredibly unresponsive controls and glitchy gameplay? No recoil on the guns was also a big problem. Poor hit detection. Lot of flash with no substance. People bitch and complain about MW2, but it's miles above the new MoH.

I agree. I wasn't impressed by the beta at all, it seemed pretty drab with no stand-out unique features. If I get this game, it'll be because of the story, but I doubt it'll be too long, considering how most other war FPS games do it.

You know, it's almost as if the game was unfinished in the beta version, but that would be just crazy '-'

Poor excuse Hideo1. The core elements of a game will not change from beta to full release, especially with the short span of time in between.

I'm not quite sure you understand the point of a beta

I Agree with Tenken, I didn't like the beta in BC2 because of the awful controls and the way you move, tried the full game and nothing changed. And since this game is basically BC2.5 All that this beta is going to fix is bugs and stuff, not the mechanics of the game itself, if i felt like a clumsy walking tank with a wobbly gun in the beta that had no spacial awareness (which i did), i'd bet good money the retail game will feel the same.

I agree with Tenken. It's true there's hardly any content in the beta to base an opinion on, but regardless of that, the core gameplay itself is horrible. It feels like a huge step back compared to other current modern-era shooters. Not only does it not bring anything new to the table, but it fails to even bring the genre's core elements to an acceptable level. Basically, it feels like a cheap knockoff.

They also released Campaign Gameplay for Medal of Honor today by the way. Not all 13 year olds are bad on Modern Warfare 2, a selected few are very mature for their age. Though most are to immature to play it.

For me there's one thing that makes MOH better than MW, that is I actually want to play MOH

    Zerpent Aug 16, 10
Meh. Whatever. I don't want to play a truly realistic game. It sounds extraordinarily boring. I play games because I want something other than reality, after all. Sure MW2 might not be the most realistic game, but I have fun playing it so what does that matter?

Focus on making the game fun and interesting before trying to make it "realistic".

I disagree for the fact that MOH is a different game. You like MW's unrealistic gameplay then fine. But MOH isn't MW so it shouldn't have to be anything like MW.

You might find MOH boring but others will like it for the more realistic gameplay.

After watching this vid I have to say I deffinitely want this game.

You misunderstand. I don't dislike MoH. I just don't like it when games try way too hard to become more realistic and lose sight of how to make the gameplay fun and interesting.

But yeah, I probably won't buy MoH. Kinda done with FPS games for the time being.

To me this game looks good BECAUSE of how realistic they are going. To me that's what 's going to make it fun.Which is really my point. Some of us think the ame looks fun because of how realistic they are going.

As for not being into FPS's atm, I have been sick of FPS's for the last maybe year but this game is bringing back my interest in FPS's.

@Gamesta100 Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising had the focus of being the most realistic FPS out, yet it's very poorly received. Realism doesn't mean much unless it's coupled with polished gameplay. In fact, I would argue it typically just hinders it. IMO, Zerpent is right about some developers trying too hard aiming for realism.

Besides, the MoH beta wasn't any more realistic than CoD, honestly.

MW2 is only a little bit above mediocre. CoD in general is overrated in my opinion and I prefer Medal of Honor and Battlefield.

From the sound of it I will not even be wasting my time with this so called comparable modern warfare FPS....

I'm looking farward to the story mode because it has a different engine to the MP mode, which is truly, truly awful. I know it's a beta but obviously the gameplay and controls themselves are not going to improve even enough to become playable to me by the time it comes out.

I like realistic games, so I hope I'll like this, the Battlefield games are one of my favourites, and I really dis like Call of Duty games, too fast and chaotic.
