Competitors from around the globe traveled to Kona, Hawaii to compete in the Pokemon Video Game World Championships. "Trainers" competed in both the Junior and Senior Divisions for some nice prizes.
Pokemon trainers from the United States, Europe and Japan converged on Kona, Japan this past weekend for the Pokemon World Video Game Championships. Players competed in both Junior (12 and under) and Senior (13 and older) divisions using Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver for the title of World Champion, custom Nintendo® DSi XL game systems, trophies, vacations, and more than $100,000 in scholarships.
