We take a look at the supposed "controversy" around the upcoming Medal of Honor and tell you why it's nothing but a broken argument, and how the media blew it all up over nothing.

Let me name just a few games off of the top of my head that have gameplay/conflicts similar to Medal of Honor: Battlefield 2 (and expansions), Call of Duty 4, the entire Counter Strike series, Splinter Cell, and hell, even the game America's Army, which is developed BY THE AMERICAN ARMY. And that's off the top off my head. The difference? Nothing. Except that MoH actually labels the enemies as the Taliban. Is there any fundamental difference between MoH and the previously listed games? No. At one point or another, you do in fact kill Americans. But oh no, since they are now labeled with an enemy we know in modern times, it's COMPLETELY different. Not like their character portrayed acts any different than in countless other games where they aren't named.

This whole thing is just marketing to sell the game. Who honestly would be upset playing as talibans. FPS computer games have been doing that for awhile. I laugh in the face of anyone who was honestly upset about this. Grow up people.

As I said in the article, the generally stupid American public sees something like "Game allows players to be Taliban and kill Americans" and jump all over it with no background information.

I am American, you should say "stupid American media." However, unlike certain other countries, we actually allow M rated games inside the borders.

No, he got it right when he said "stupid American public." Generally, our fellow Americans are *bleep*ing stupid.

Just wait till they unveil the 9/11 themed mission where you have to play as the Taliban physically flying the plane into the towers...

...then we can talk about controversy

That was Al-Qaeda, not the Taliban.
