We've all been waiting a long time for news regarding the game, and the hopes that we may even get a Release Date for the much awaited Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, however the game was missing from E3 (as said by Square that it would be) and so very little new information has come recently.
However, in today's PlayStation Premier press conference in Tokyo, Square have revealed information regarding to the status of both the games, and currently they are only 13% and 1.5% completed (respectively). This doesn't seem to fare well, and could mean an even longer wait for fans of the game to get their hands on the next FF instalment.
With TGS coming soon, what information about FFXIII will they be releasing at the event?
According to the companys press materials, the former currently sits at just 13% completion, a far lower percentage than expected considering the title has been displayed multiple times in video form. The development of Versus, currently at 1.5%, is lagging behind so badly that we question just how much work has actually been completed on the project.
There have been numerous rumors suggesting that Square Enix is planning on displaying a brand new trailer of either (or each) of the projects at this years Tokyo Game Show this September. Stay tuned.

Though it's good they're taking their time on it.
Seriously I think Square are doing too many projects, work on them one or two at a time, people would rather one or two games a year rather than 8 all at once
Edit- shit there is a link in a thread in the 360 forum which says Final Fantasy XIII is not excluisive, whether they mean XIII is self or the other titles reamains to be seen
Theres plenty of games that are going out in the mean time, for instance, I've diverted my attention to Metal Gear Solid 4 at the moment, so its not as though there's going to be a lack of games with XIII.
Hopefully we'll see a new trailer and perhaps a demo by the end of the year ??
Tokyo game show Please ... ??
