A giant "D'oh!" was heard from Microsoft and Bungie Studios after learning that their attempt to make it easier for media to get access to Halo: Reach resulted in the game being pirated a month before its release.

While many people had a giggle about Microsoft offering the full game of Halo: Reach on Xbox LIVE for the low low price of 99,999 MS Points ($1,250). However, some sneaky pirates found a way to crack the code necessary to download the game when it was only intended as a way for members of the media to get it.

    Its there own stupid fault, they should have saw this coming.

    Those dang online pirates. I'm not surprised a game as astronomically epic as this one was pirated before it was officially released, and they shouldn't have been either.

    One month before release. That's a pretty big leak for such a popular game like Halo. Wow.
