It turns out that some US soldiers really aren't bothered with the fact that gamers can take control of Taliban members in the new Medal of Honor. Not surprising, many soldiers are young men who are probably gamers and grew up playing videogames.

It has recently come to my attention that players will be able to play as the Taliban in the multiplayer portion of the upcoming Medal Of Honor. Recently, some members of the military were interviewed to provide their feelings on the issue. Is it okay to play as the enemy of a current ongoing war? Are game developers disrespecting our great country?

    I'm a US Soldier.

I am not offended in anyway whatsoever. I understand someone has to be the other team, and I fail to see what Fox News is all up in arms about.

If you aren't in the US Army, then stop *bleep*ing speaking for us like you are. You'd be surprised at how little things actually offend us.

      Well said.

It always seems to be the people that aren't in the particular things that are being complained about that bitch.

Like how some people don't like how you can kill cops in GTA. I once saw a show where a cop was talking about how much fun he has playing GTA.

The fact that US solders aren't bothered by the fact that you oplay the Taliban in this just goes to show that these people complaining are just a bunch of sooks.

In the UK (not sure if it's the same for the US), half of the things are censored because they might offend people. However, they are not complained about by the ethnicity/gender/people it might offend (mostly), but by old people and talk show guests who believe that they 'might' offend someone.

Medal of Honor isn't real. End of story.

I see what they're getting at, but it's just a video game. People who play Mario Party are as likely to go out and commit terrorist acts as MoH players.

It was probably some dumb group looking to make the news much like NAACP these days throwing around 'racism' left and right like it was their job.

Anyone who was offended by this needs a psychological test, because they are not their right mind...

They're in the right mind, just have a very thin level of understanding.
